2018 Queer Shorts Showcase Festival is almost upon us!

The capital city of Botswana will, once again, play host to the Queer Shorts Showcase Festival. This year will mark the first of the summer editions of the festival  and it will be hosted at the Lady Olebile Masire Community Centre - named after the former First Lady of Botswana. 

All the activity will unfold on 20 October and we anticipate some interesting work to be showcased.

2018 Writer-Director Call for Applications

Do you want to stage a play during the 2018 festival in October? This is the chance for you to be a part of history.

1 A4 page query letter (stating genre and contact details)
3 A4 page excerpt of proposed script (Drama/Comedy)
500 word Treatment of FULL PLAY (Drama/Dance*/Comedy)

*If you are a Choreographer you still count as a Writer-Director and are expected to submit a treatment of the full play.

We are extremely proud to announce that after some time away, we are back in motion to get the 2018 installment of the festival staged.
